KDC was a proud sponsor at the JLL Academy 2011, held in Phoenix, AZ on February 10-11. The KDC booth was positioned in a prime location- directly next to the main conference room that held many of the break-out sessions. This allowed our team to shake hands with those who already know us and introduce ourselves to new faces. As a sponsor, we were able to attend the General Session with guest speaker Simon Sinek. Simon’s message about “WHY” explains that with a little discipline, anyone can learn to inspire.
START WITH WHY offers an unconventional perspective that explains WHY some people and organizations are more innovative, more profitable, command greater loyalties from customers and employees alike and, most importantly, are able to repeat their success over and over. These are not the one hit wonders. These are the ones who change the course of industries or even society.

Finally, we hosted our KDC Basketball Shootout Competition again, which was a HUGE hit with these competitive brokers! Managing Director, Chris Skibinski of the Charlotte, NC office won the competition by shooting 10 out of 10 free throws, narrowly defeating Sr VP, Brian Ackerman of the Phoenix office.
