3D Systems Headquarters Wins 2009 Tilt-Up Achievement Award

With an extremely fast-track construction schedule that required that the shell of 3D Systems’ headquarters be under construction before the interior up-fit design was completely resolved, Tilt-Up proved to be the optimum solution for integrating efficient construction and creative design.

The main entrance of the office/warehouse/laboratory structure is framed by a three-story crescent-shaped glass curtain wall supported by four Tilt-Up concrete buttresses. The white panels feature red and gray accents and incorporate unique reveals integrated with windows and doors to bring in an abundance of natural light. Clerestory windows continue to a tapered, disc-shaped roof at the atrium, filling the space with even more light.

The 80,000-square-foot structure provides a durable and innovative showcase for the unique production capabilities of the business.
