Taylor is located in Williamson County, thirty-five miles northeast of Austin, TX, with a population of over 17,000 and known for its outstanding barbecue, live music and small-town charm.
Many organizations, including KDC, are targeting the region for development. Specifically, KDC is developing and marketing the 150-acre Taylor HQ, which fronts Farm-to-Market Road 973. The commercial real estate firm joined forces with Transwestern in offering build-to-suit opportunities for manufacturing, office, logistics, data center and other uses.
An added benefit is that Taylor HQ is adjacent to Samsung’s $17 billion, 1,200-acre semiconductor chip manufacturing plant. The Korean electronics manufacturing giant plans to have the factory operational in 2026. Samsung also announced additional investments totaling $44 billion in Taylor and Austin in exchange for $6.4 billion in direct funding under the CHIPs and Science Act. Samsung’s activity is anticipated to generate at least 21,500 jobs in the area.
Additionally, the University of Texas announced the development of a 68-acre campus in Taylor, which will operate as the UT Austin-Taylor Center for Semiconductor Training and Research. A groundbreaking date hasn’t been announced.
With the activity going on in the region, KDC’s Taylor HQ offers an ideal location in which to set up shop.
