D CEO Shines Light on KDC at the Commercial Real Estate Awards
04/03/24 | KDC Announcements
D CEO honored the best in the commercial real estate industry at the recent Commercial Real Estate Awards. This year’s annual event, held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum with more than 500 guests in attendance, honored the best North Texas projects, transactions and industry professionals.
KDC received two awards including Best New Office Project for Wells Fargo and Best Office Lease for Bank of America at Parkside. Representatives from KDC, Wells Fargo and Bank of America were in attendance to accept the honors.
KDC, Corgan and Austin Commercial started construction in April 2023 on Wells Fargo’s new office campus in Irving, Texas. The 22-acre site is just minutes from the Irving Convention Center and Toyota Music Factory. The 850,000-square-foot campus will enable Wells Fargo to consolidate multiple offices across the Metroplex and house approximately 3,000 employees when it opens at the end of 2025.
The campus will be the financial company’s first net-positive energy office space and is designed to be timeless, sustainable and organic with a focus on employee wellness and sustainable practices.
In September 2023, KDC announced Bank of America would be the signature tenant for its new 30-story office tower, Parkside. The team of KDC, Pacific Elm and Austin Commercial immediately broke ground on Parkside, which will be Uptown’s tallest tower. Kohn Pederson Fox, along with Corgan, designed Parkside.
The 500,000-square-foot trophy office tower, slated for completion in 2027, will sit adjacent to Klyde Warren Park. Bank of America will occupy more than 238,000 square feet of office space and upon move-in, the tower will be known as Bank of America Tower at Parkside.
JLL represented both Wells Fargo and Bank of America on these winning transactions.
