One of KDC’s most iconic developments was recently recognized for the design of one of its key amenities. Downtown San Antonio’s Frost Tower was recently featured in Architectural Woodwork Institute’s Design Solutions Magazine Fall 2020 issue for the design of its tenant lounge. Comprised of a series of rooms, the tenant-only lounge provides ample space for various activities in a relaxed environment. The comfortable lounge provides a kitchen area of chef-quality appliances and room for building tenants to host business gatherings, meetings, dinners in an exclusive retreat with views to Houston Street. The lounge’s character, finishes, art and furnishings reflect San Antonio’s rich, multicultural heritage while looking forward to a sophisticated future.
KDC worked with development partner Weston Urban and several other partners, including architects Pelli Clark Pelli and Kendall Heaton, Clark Construction, designers Michael G. Imber, and Cravotta Interiors. The entire team collaborated to shape this amenity as an exclusive location within the city.
“A lot of thought and planning went into the tenant lounge as is one of the most important areas in this dynamic office tower. The recognition for its design highlights the importance of a team vision when working with the client, architect and developer,” said SVP of Development, Michael Alost.
