As Chief Financial Officer, Mike Kaufman handles all issues related to KDC’s sound financial management. His role includes overseeing bookkeeping and accounting functions, including monitoring cash flow, taxes and asset management.

He is responsible for preparing financial documents that adhere to specific standards and regulations, remaining up-to-date with compliance issues and cultivating and maintaining lender relationships. A member of the executive committee, Kaufman assists with long-term strategy initiatives.

Kaufman joined KDC in 2017 from his previous role as a Goldman Sachs Vice President. He spent more than a decade at Goldman, where, as a member of the merchant banking group, he helped launch and manage the firm’s infrastructure funds, which included two (2) $4 billion funds and one (1) $6.5 billion fund.

Born and raised in Champaign, IL, Kaufman relocated to Dallas in the early 1990s, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southern Methodist University. Kaufman is married with two adult children.
