As a KDC Vice President, Rob Nickerson leads build-to-suit projects for large corporate clients. These developments include the 120-acre Volkswagen Gulf Coast Hub at Port Freeport and Wells Fargo in Las Colinas.

Nickerson’s duties include developing budgets, forming and maintaining customer relationships, assembling design teams, interacting with staff and clients throughout the construction cycle and meeting project milestones and delivery dates.

Nickerson handled various commercial construction and development projects totaling $2.5 billion throughout his career. Before joining KDC in 2021, he spent six years as a Director of Capital Improvement Projects at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In that role, he was responsible for the organization’s construction projects, including the development of a medical tower addition to an existing hospital and several clinical buildings.

Nickerson earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a state-registered architect and a member of the Texas Society of Architects and the American Institute of Architects.

The North Texas native resides in Carrollton and has two sons.
